Ferris State Women's Golf Team Ties for Sixth in Bing Beall Classic

The women's golf team of Ferris State University wrapped up their performance at the Bing Beall Classic in Ohio on Tuesday (Oct. 3) by sharing sixth place in a highly competitive field at the annual event.

In the final round on Tuesday, the Bulldogs posted a score of 320, concluding the 54-hole event with a total of 935, matching Tiffin and Missouri-St. Louis for sixth place. Indianapolis claimed the top spot with a score of 880, with host Findlay securing second place at 887 over the three rounds.

Ferris State had begun the tournament with scores of 313 and 302 in Monday's rounds. A total of 14 schools participated in the competition.

Leading the way for the Bulldogs was Kamryn Shannon, who finished in 13th place with a total of 226 for the three rounds. Her performance included a final-round 79, following an initial 77 and an outstanding two-under 70 on the opening day.

Following closely was Ferris State's Dani Staskowski, who shared 24th place overall with a total of 230. She carded a 78 in the final round, complementing her earlier rounds of 78 and 74 in the second round.

Lizzie Anderson of Ferris State tied for 36th with a total score of 235. Her performance featured an 81 in the final round, following rounds of 78 and 76 in Monday's play.

Additionally, Taylor Musselman recorded a total of 247, including a final-round 83 on Tuesday, placing her tied for 58th in the field. Her first two rounds consisted of scores of 79 and 85 in the initial and second rounds, respectively.
